So here I am uploading and adding the new header images I've been working on all week when my templates go stone crazy on me and erase half of my site. Four months of work down the fuckin' drain. All week long I was reminding myself to back up my site... now I have to go kick my ass.>

George still says no after all these years
Straight from the pages of the Cinescape website comes this latest bit of news about the Star Wars 7, 8, 9 and the NDA's that ILM employees had to sign.
Recent reports published by STAR WARS and movie film websites have hinted that George Lucas may be considering making a third STAR WARS trilogy of films. Last week an anonymous email was sent to this website from someone claiming that non-disclosure agreements had been presented to employees of Industrial Light & Magic pertaining to working on EPISODES VII - IX of the space opera. With rumors that a STAR WARS television series was quietly in development (we've heard it as well), could Lucas be entertaining the notion of going back to his original plan of making nine STAR WARS movies?
E! Online decided to check with Lucasfilm about the rumor. According to Lucasfilm representative Lynn Fox, the story is 100% incorrect and there was never an NDA for a third STAR WARS movie trilogy issued to employees. "STAR WARS EPISODE III -- REVENGE OF THE SITH is our last and final installment," Fox told E! Online. What is interesting to note is that while the Lucasfilm rep dismissed the movie trilogy, the door was left open for a TV series.
Hmmm. What are you up to George? Playing Emperor Lucas yet again.

Name's Ash, Housewares
Cinescape has posted some current news about Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash rumors that have been flying around the internet for the past year.
The rumors about FREDDY VS. JASON VS. ASH are true. Today's Hollywood Reporter confirms that New Line Cinema has entered discussions with director Sam Raimi, the fellow who helmed the three EVIL DEAD pictures and who owns the copyright to Ash, the sarcastic hero of the DEAD trilogy. If a deal can be reached, Ash will go up against the two horror slasher icons in the sequel to last summer's FREDDY VS. JASON. In that case, it's expected that Bruce Campbell will strike a deal to play Ash for the fourth time. It's unlikely that Raimi would direct the film; he's got plans to helm SPIDER-MAN 3 (set for release in May 2007), but Raimi would likely take a producing credit on the VERSUS film.
Last seen on-screen in 1993's ARMY OF DARKNESS, Campbell's Ash has remained a popular cult hero amongst the horror fandom. The rumors about Ash being added to the fray first popped up at Creature Corner a year ago this month and were then revisited by Fangoria in October 2003.
Reporter adds a new item by stating that if a deal cannot be worked out with Raimi, New Line will still continue to develop FREDDY VS. JASON 2, possibly by introducing a new antagonist for the two killers to face off against.
I'm not sure it's the best idea. Freddy vs. Jason was a fair comedy at best, which might work for Ash but I think it would be too hard for any one to write a descent story that would actually work for all three characters, then again who knows. How about Evil Dead 4 instead?

AvP and the man who buttered his own popcorn
Alien vs. Predator. My money has always been on the Predator, never like those damn Aliens. The movie started out decent, I was patiently waiting to see the battle begin. Nice to see Bishop, a good way to tie in the Alien movies. The Predators arrive, clean up the drill crew and guards on the surface and proceed to the pyramid. Now a old man walks into the theatre, this is like 20 to 25 minutes into the movie, he sneaked in. He walks around for a while then heads to the top row (we have stadium seating) where Jill and I are seated. Ok the Predators locate the humans and beat on them. hack hack hack, cough cough. The old man starts having a coughing fit and distracts every one in the theatre. SHIT!! a Predator was just killed by an Alien. The old man has another coughing fit, louder then the last. He also starts to spit on the floor and he is doing a lot of fidgeting. DAMN!! another Predator dead. I missed most of it because I was distracted. Now the people in front of Jill and I get up and move all the way to the end of the row. This old man coughs, moans and spits for most of the movie, I figured he was retarded. Jill and I eventually moved to the end of the row. After the film, the people in front of us asked if we saw the old mans pants around his ankles. Seriously. This was a family and I guess the father had turned when he heard what he thought was spitting noises. The father glimpsed a full frontal shot and immediately moved his family. The old man was whacking off, he wasn't moaning because he was retarded, just buttering his popcorn. I really wanted to see that movie...
